In-Person and Virtual Therapy
NOW ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS
I provide both virtual and in-person therapy. The majority of my sessions are held online via a secure telehealth platform, and I also see clients in person on Fridays at my office in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles.
Currently I work with clients ages 13+
My rate is currently $160 per 55-minute session.
I am in network with several health insurance plans, including Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, Cigna, United Healthcare, and the EAP Lyra. If your insurance is not accepted and you choose to self-pay, I can provide a monthly superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Please feel free to reach out if you’d like additional details.
A superbill is a detailed document that outlines the therapy services you’ve received. You may choose to submit this document to your insurance company to request reimbursement for sessions you paid for out of pocket. Please be aware that reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on the specifics of your insurance plan. For the most accurate information, it’s best to contact your insurance provider directly.
Regardless of insurance reimbursement, you are responsible for payment at the time of service.
When speaking with your insurance company, you may want to ask questions such as:
• Does my plan include mental health benefits?
• Are out-of-network therapy services covered?
• How much is reimbursed per session?
• How does my deductible apply to out-of-network claims submitted via a superbill?
• Is there a limit to the number of covered therapy sessions?
• How long does reimbursement typically take once a superbill is submitted?
A Good Faith Estimate (or the “No Surprises Act”) is a document to help you understand the costs associated with your therapy services. This estimate outlines the expected charges for your sessions so there are no surprises. For further details on the Good Faith Estimate and your rights as a client, please visit https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises. I believe in open communication and want to empower you with the information necessary to make informed decisions about your mental health and well-being.
I ask that all sessions be canceled or rescheduled 24 hours of your upcoming session. If there is a cancellation under the 24 hours or no-show at the time of the session, I do charge the fee of $100.
No, I can only provide therapy services to individuals located within the state of California due to my licensing regulations. If you are temporarily out of state, we can discuss potential alternatives during that period.
The first session is really about connection and getting a feel for each other. I’ll walk you through an intake and ask questions about what’s bringing you to therapy, your goals, and what you’re hoping to work on together. We can also talk about things like family, support, work, or school. I may be asking questions, but you get to decide how much you share and at what pace. My goal is to create a supportive, safe space where you can be yourself. You’re always welcome to ask me questions about my background as well.
Weekly sessions are typically where we will start. As progress is made, the frequency may decrease. This varies and is based on individual needs and goals.
Sessions will typically be 50-55 minutes.
I work primarily with adult/gender-expansive women (millennial/Gen-Z age) and women/gender-expansive adolescents ages 13-17 navigating anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, life transitions, identity issues, and burnout. I specialize in supporting people from historically marginalized backgrounds, including BIPOC, first-gen, and LGBTQIA+ populations. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out.
I am truly an eclectic clinician and find the benefit in using a few different types of theoretic orientations. I typically use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodyamnic Therapy, and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) in my work. I am also IFS-informed (internal family systems) and sometimes use DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy) and CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) with my clients to work on skills, if needed. ACT and CFT especially help clients connect with their values, build emotional flexibility, and treat themselves with more kindness and compassion, even in the face of difficult emotions or past trauma. Additionally, I am trained in ERP (exposure and response prevention) therapy that is used specifically for OCD and some anxiety disorders, and will use this to primarily treat OCD. All of these approaches are used while being trauma-informed with a feminist and decolonial lens.
